Science Fair and Learning Sphere Projects
Students at P.H.M. School District (e.g., Northpoint Elementary School, Madison Elementary School) have an option to choose a project in an area that interests them. Science Fair and Learning Sphere projects can be in an area that interests them including: Fine Arts, Mathematics, Media, Social Studies, and Science. While students are asked to choose a project in an area that interests them, they have an additional choice to make an entry in the science category. When entering a science project, students need to decide whether they want to do a general science research project, or enter a science experiment that follows the scientific method. The top science experiment projects submitted by 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students are eligible for entry in the Northern Indiana Regional Science and Engineering Fair at Notre Dame.

    STEM Night Activities
For the STEM Nights at Northpoint Elementary School, students were able to engage in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math activities designed by Northpoint teachers and Community Partners. Our group (i.e.,Yes-Lab) designed a series of AI-driven activities to engage with students at Northpoint Elementary School, aiming at broaden participation in computing especially in the fields of AI and data science.
